Lacey joined BluePunk Tattoo in February 2025 and is our resident piercer. Piercings are usually done on an appointment-only basis but are sometimes also available at our walk-in days.

Piercing method:
The piercing method Lacey uses is with singular use, sterilised piercing needles, which come in a range of different sizes for specific piercings. The hollow needle is inserted into the skin and scoops out a tiny amount of flesh, creating a small space for the piercing to sit inside of it comfortably. When the needle is inserted into the marked flesh, she then cuts the cannula, threading the jewellery through the freshly pierced hole. 

As everyone's anatomy is different, Lacey will give you an estimate of whether the piercing you want is suitable for your personal anatomy. She will only perform a piercing if it is safe to do so. 
 

• The minimum age for piercings at BluePunk Tattoo is 18 and you will need to present a valid photo ID before getting pierced with us.

• ​16 - 18 year olds can be accepted for certain piercings but will need to be accompanied by a guardian, and both will need to present valid photo ID. Piercing of anyone below the age of 18 is done at the piercers discretion.  

• ​The price of our piercings includes a titanium starter piece.​

For fresh, just pierced jewellery, we use sterilised titanium labrets. We recommend surgical steel for healed piercings only, as surgical steel contains a small amount of nickel which is a relatively common allergy.
